Far too often we find ourselves shopping with the faceless high street names or big on-line entities, in turn lining the pockets of their execs and share holders!

We do our best to shop locally or with companies that are happy to share their vision and ethics, so we think it's only right that you know a bit about us so you can make an informed decision about where to invest your hard earned.

Phil - the owner of scooter-wear.com launched Vroom By The Sea back in April of 2008 after leaving the travel industry following the takeover of GB Airways by easyJet, where he was a sales and marketing manager. Phil had always been around scooters, both vintage and modern, and saw the opportunity to bring the residents and visitors to Brighton and the South Coast the opportunity to experience the fun and freedom of riding piaggio's iconic Vespa.

Vroom By The Sea launched to huge local and national interest, given that there are very few other scooter hire companies in the UK, and Brighton has long been an adopted home of scootering. We have 20 bikes comprising of Piaggio Zip50's, Vespa LX50's, Vespa LX125's, Vespa PX125's, Vespa GTS125's and Honda CG125's. Over 1000 vroomers have followed their front wheel to date, and everyone without exception has left with a huge smile on their face. We're keen to ensure we limit our environmental impact, so we offset all of the carbon emissions both from our business activities and our customers fun!

Phil was keen to quickly grow his business and launched scooter-wear.com back in November to bring together some great scooter clothing and scooter accessory brands from around the world. So far we've had a great response from the UK and overseas, and we're working hard to bring you even more great products, with free delivery where we can and with value added gifts to make parting with that 'hard-earned' a little easier.

We're proud to have been able to give a few people employment and with your support we can continue to grow our numbers, in tough times.
